Heres a little tester for you which would make my life simpler....

I have a spreadsheet which I use for a project which monitors a number of indices. I have previously spent time printing pages off the internet then typing each one individually.

What I am looking for is a way to insert the "live" values from the net without having to type them in manually, this will benefit me two fold, firstly by not having to type them in, secondly by the spreadsheet being permanently up to date.

Have tried:
Data / Import Data from Web source

but that only allows me to inset tables where I cannot find the single figures defined but a mixture of text and numbers, which I cannot filter.

So 2 possible solutions:
How to import a single figure from a website

Or how to filter an imported table so it just shows the number rather than the text / number that it imports currently. Excel 2007 BTW.

Kudos to whoever sorts this one for me.

Cheers.
