A-ha Wellington gets hellishly windy. I'm flying with some of the CTC cadets who have done their initial training down your way. They come home with some good stories.

It does get a bit breezy here, very glad I get to sit in a nice tower on (usually) solid land!

update. landing at manc was a gulf war 1 experience. IE shot down. Waiting for our flight to be cancelled. They keep giving us "next information at x0clock". A 737 from tenerife was diverted from exe to bhx just now. Anyway that landing at manc just then was horrific so I would prefer to rent a car and take my chances with flood pestilence zombies and fallen trees..

Sorry it was a bad experience, the current wind at EXT is suitable for your landing at the moment, 210 at 29 so do-able. It depends now if your aircraft has been delayed during the day. Or just bin it off and get the car?

Started night shift at 10pm last night. An "eastern european" budget airline from sofia to luton diverted to liverpool in the afternoon. At 11pm he made an attempt to get back into Luton. After 2 attempts he gave up and diverted to.......Sofia! Poor bugger! Busy night!

I don't think so as we haven't been late from Aberdeen since before xmas.
I'm normally on the 4:45 to exe on friday, was it that one?

No - it was the 8.25 one - much better idea to take the 4.45 flight!
