it was very good, though i didnt agree entirely with his comments re Saudi etc
During the height of the"Troubles" and the IRAs campaign of murder Corbyn supoorted their objectives of a united Ireland and the withdrawl of British Troops as well as meeting senior members of Sinn Fein (and now known to be IRA terrorists). That's consistent with him today supporting the creation of an Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (the Levant) and the end of military action against IS as well as inviting them to Westminster
That's consistent with complete and utter bollocks.
How does a Democratic United Ireland compare with a fascist, murdering death cult?
France has seen 5000 troops on its streets.
...And mass arrests of Muslims, and possible human rights abuses

I don't want "collective" punishment on my streets, thanks
Late to this party but:
He couldn't have built a bomb in isolation so valid concern that another attack possible until all caught.
The NHS is getting preparedness to a level I haven't seen before, even after 9/11 or 7/11.
The bringing of troops in I read to mean, we have got rid of that many Police we are now too pushed and need the army in to take up the shortfall

Agree. These days the difficult bit would be getting hold of the explosives. A trip to Libya probably sorted that.
A timer and detonation device would be quite simple. With modern technology you can buy for £5 a quite sophisticated wee computer in the guise of a Raspberry Pi Zero or similar, and it's really like electronic Lego. Just a few add on boards and you're set.
However I'm sure UKIP's suggestion of a death penalty for suicide bombers will deter them, so no need to worry anymore. 🙂

From what I've read and know, most likely HME, you'd be surprised how easy it is to make, most likely ingredients stolen or a wide network to acquire them, so not to raise suspicions.

Valid, however, putting us on duty at places they're unlikely to attack means cops with guns are free to protect members of the public.
I wouldn't be too happy at having to engage a target with my weapon, we don't have the rounds the police do, the risk of over penetration is a real risk. In fact, lets just hope nobody has to shoot anyone, there's been enough death already this month. Well, I'm not sure I mean that. I wouldn't cry if one of his associates or like minded individuals were put down with a few rounds to centre of mass. Maybe I should be more liberal, who knows. Potato, potato.
Ironically these aresholes won't attack the military who are in 'their' countries, at least the IRA had a pop at us too. Instead they have almost solely focused on civilians, cowards of the highest order, which is why I give their stated aims and reasons zero credibility. Apart from the attack at Westminster and Fus Rigby, they've not tried to attack the establishment once.
Sad thing is, even if we stopped doing all the things they claim, dumped billions in aid, they would still find the reasons and motivation to murder civilians. this problem is never going away, their's no political wing to do back room deals with. Sad, very sad.
Anyone listen to the interview on PM yesterday with the young Mancunian of Libyan descent who knew the bomber?
I found his views on the causes of radicalisation quite eye opening.

I hope someone was listening to him.
I doubt it, we'll continue on ill-advised foreign policy and push on with the ever growing socioeconmic gulf and see where that takes us.

the issue isn't just 'police' though is it? Its armed police for key point protection
I believe the 'home office' police have about 1000 less armed officers than 2010 - but speaking to an ex-police firearms trainer about this he says the headline numbers are deceptive, as some of those armed roles have moved to 'other' police forces like MODP, CNC, BTP, SSG etc. While some other roles have changed as armed police have become more specialised - due to immense pressure from the public after incidents like Mark Duggan.
Some absolute cobblers on here. No shortage of offended lefties too.
May isn't perfect but she is a hell of a lot better a chance for the United Kingdom at sorting the economy (and terrorists) than that lefty, economy wrecking, terrorist apologist Corbyn. And thats before you get to the human rights brigade.
Remember what Labour did to the construction/housebuilding industry, never mind apologising for the IRA.
Im looking forward to seeing him getting binned at the next election.

Yeah coz whilst May was busying voting to stir up the hornets nest(she supported Blair in his war voting 5 times with him in the )
Corbyn was predicting the future
still you think that corbyn is the dangerous one 🙄
Blair was a complete idiot too.
Anyway, the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money.

The problem with capitalism is you never run out of other people's money.

God forbid we have any of those eh.

Not sure just how much credence to give it, but I've read some reports that it's becoming increasingly difficult to recruit armed police officers due to concerns about being charged with unlawful killing, or some such charge, in the same way troops were being hit with law suites brought by scumbag legal teams touting for business.
Under normal circumstances I doubt very much that this country could field anywhere near enough armed police, irrespective of cuts or whatever, there isn't the call for large numbers of such officers, and our police are not routinely armed, and we don't have a paramilitary force like many European countries do, like France, Spain, the US, etc.
It makes perfect sense to utilise the military, freeing the police to carry on being police and dealing with regular crime.
Corbyn was predicting the future
So did Enoch Powell
Excellent question time this evening most notably for me the young Muslim lady who said the Saudi funded Mosques need to be closed for starting this anti west narrative that ultimately ends up as extremism.
Please go watch it before you post the usual "its not about religion" stuff.
young Muslim lady who said the Saudi funded Mosques
indeed the Saudis use repressive Wahabism to keep themselves in power but have to bomb the crap out of Yemen when jihadists want to take their doctrine to the next step
Not that we'd dare upset them, the West will keep paying them billions for oil and selling them weapons, ignoring their human rights abuses, treatment of women etc etc
