I've been thinking about what I want from my life. I have been unhappy in my job for a while. It no longer excites me and I don't feel like it makes a difference. There are also some issues about poor management not helping to develop my career despite senior management valuing my input and results. Can you start the business while still employed? Or go part-time?
If no to the above just go for it anyway! You can always get another job if it fails.
I could apply to work reduced or flexible hours. That would be part of the plan.
If you have a saleable skillset, consider contracting in your current industry / role.
You might make enough in 6 months to have 3 months off and work on the business.
Do you have a business idea and have you spoken to any potential clients?
