That warming feeling in direct sunlight. I felt it yesterday and paused for a moment with a smile on my face. It's been a while.

Wild garlic, growing well around here so shouldn't be long before we get that great aroma.

riding to work in the lakes is great when its light at 06.30 just me and the odd deer about and no need for front light!
I do like those summer mornings though when you can set off at silly oclock and its already warm enough for short sleaves with that great scent you get with the morning due 🙂

Wild Garlics been growing for a couple of weeks in the South Downs. Ok, so it's been subdued somewhat by the freezing temps but its there alright.

I like the smells. The smell of spring. When the pigs are out, the cattle, the moist woods, the flowering fields.

And the sounds..

Cracking.

Skylarks. I was up on the Ridgeway today, it was grey, windy, and chuffing cold, but there were three skylarks up, singing their little heads off. And then the sun came out!
