Tyrells Truffle crisps game changing
Seabrooks of any flavour for me. Though I'd give my right arm to discover a supplier of Brannigans Ham and Mustard.
Tyrells Truffle
Pretty sure that was a gruesome punishment in series 6 of Game of Thrones
Golden Wonder are still superior to other brands.
Hula Hoops have to be barbecue beef.
Seabrooks beefy are pretty damn good, as are their original. When the pop van came round, the top of it had many, many flavours of seabrook crisps. Sundays were fundays.
Hula Hoops always seem a bit soft to me, and It's not just because they are the crisp equivalent of MDF, as (fresh) Pringles are crunchy.
Anyway, Seabrook for everyday, and any handcooked Kettle style for special special occasions.
if we're veering off from ready salted, I once picked up some Aldi crinkle cut Croque Monsieur flavoured crisps, and they were frickin' amazing.

@MoreCashThanDash - they are sadly no more. B&M Bargains were the last place they could be found. I’d stick up if I was in the vicinity
However, allow me to introduce you to these beauties, which are even more mustardy. Proper ‘take no prisoners’ crisps…

Proper ‘take no prisoners’ crisps…
Anyone remember Really Ruthless crisps? They were properly good.
Pringles ...
.
Sorry, just trying to be controversial 🙂
Hula hoops used to be ace but due to shrinkflation you can’t jam them on your fingers to chomp like you used to be able to, or perhaps my fingers have got fatter due to too many of the above. How about Quavers, they really are melt in the mouth.
Are XL Cheese crisps still just a Cumbria thing?
Can you still get XL cheese crisps? Rishy XL?
Im a big fan of lidl ready salted ridge crisps, but you have to buy a 6pack with cheese/onion and salt/vinegar
The best as far as I know and does not give me stomach (acid reflux) no matter how much I eat. Walkers Crisps always cause acid reflux for me for whatever reason.
The Jumbo XL hula hoops are even better I reckon
I worked on them as a food taster in a previous life. Clearly very good at my job! Also did the Salsa flavour McCoy's
A grated cheese and Hula hoop sandwich is a thing of beauty. Slightly more difficult to arrange than a cheese and crisp sandwich but well worth the extra effort.

Not sure I've ever seen a salsa flavour, but I want to...
Mackies are now Taylors, I think. They've split from the original Ice Cream business. I think I'd rank them no.1 as well - reliable, well salted, good crunch.
The OP must be 6 years old for putting Hula Hoops in first place. They're a reliable petrol station snack in a moment of need, but up against various Doritos and Pringles nonsense it's a no-brainer.
Unless they happen to have Bacon Wheat Crunches, then the Hoops can get in the sea and preferably a heavily buttered, well-fired morning roll is needed to tip in the bacony goodness

They were less successful

Right… I need to go out and get some hula hoops now and put this to the rest. That sounds great. My own personal favourite crisp butty is Warbies toastie, ridiculous amounts of butter, Seabrook salt and vinegar and a couple of dairylea cheese singles

Just guzzling some of our local crisps. They're a bit rustic, and the maker's hand seems to slip when adding salt. Which is good.

The cheek! No, my youngest is near that age and they're his favourite. Thanks to him I've rediscovered them, mainly when there was nothing else in the house. It was an actuality these are quite good non non nom moment!
Now you can even buy the book
I feel a bit ashamed for this but, tesco finest lightly salted are really good. They've got that kettle chip "accidentally ate a whole packet" thing but without the mouth lacerations or shame, and each individual crisp is good too. Plus a bit of variation, I love that. Foldy ones, dark ones, lots of shards...
Green crisp. Chomp or not?
Green crisp. Chomp or not?
The name escapes me but the green is actually poisonous, though you'd have to eat a significant amount for it to be an issue.
I'd bin it, other crisps are available.
