And the follow up video as I walk around the paddock after the race
Definitely getting there Nick. Thumbs up emoticon.
Gets better with practice - who would have thunk it?
Did you get my PM about the weekend?
Quite cool. Â On the commentary one, the difference between a commentator and a spectator is a commentator should tell you more than you can see (i.e. not "the big jag" but "JimBob "Jaguar" Jagson in his Jaguar XJ6 with its rather special TWR prepared"). Â At the very least you need a list of drivers, and to commentate well you need to be comfortable matching names to car numbers, and find a system that allows you to add other relevant information.
For example:
- prior form this season,
- prior form at this circuit ("of course this is the circuit here he lost last season's nail-biting scrap for first place overall, but he still finished a comfortable first in class, 125 points ahead of second") ,
- other notable facts ("missed most of last season after a huge crash in the second race").
You generally do this by having a big book of facts, and writing up specific notes for the race in question, with the current standings and other stuff you think will be useful, but you have to get comfortable retrieving the info and using it in your talking effectively and smoothly (so it doesn't sound like you're reading your notes 🙂 )

orangespyderman - all good points. IF I try again I will try to find out which race I am watching, who is taking part and what they are driving. Everything you heard was ad lib - and it shows :-). Wait until you hear the Mini Cooper show walk around "There is a mini, that is one too, that one is a Cooper - err so were the others..."
Still having a bit of fun though. All feedback welcome.
