It really is a bit rubbish nowadays. Expensive and bloated with too many games etc.
Now I know its gambling and all that and it depends on how many winners etc, but tonight you get out your ticket and... We've got five numbers wohoo. Dreams of a new car, big holiday for all the family, not tonight folks. It's less than 600 quid.
Thankfully I didn't get 5 numbers as I reckon I'd have been gutted!

It's less gambling, and more taking on the assumption that you are willing to pay money for something with the same odds of a being eaten by a shark...

....on land.

Play it for fun, get the odd small win back, lottery funding helps all sorts of organisations, some of them quite local to me. And has pretty much underpinned British Cycling's transformation in the last 15 years, not just the track guys.

Although I'm sure there's a statistic you can google about which demonstrates you ultimately pay 80% or so tax on every pound you pay to the lottery.

Going to stick with the euro lottery from now on and and also keep eyes out for sharks on land with laser eyes!
