Anyone watch on catch up yesterday? The Manchester Guardian seems to like it. Personally I thought the first episode was a little slow, (fair enough, setting up the premise, it's not uncommon for new series) but the comedy song about Alex's grandad's pea farm had me in stitches.

Also, thanks to Martin Kemp I now have a handy aide-memoire to determine the difference between a Coot and a Moorhen.

Bald as a coot? If you can see a white bald patch on the head then it's a coot, otherwise it's a moorhen. Or a raven. 😀

Thanks for the heads-up - I'll watch this later.

No, not that. But I'll not do spoilers.

Quite like Alex Horne, he's a funny guy but not sure he's the man to front his own show - will willingly give it a try, though. :),

Is that the gag where they sang about the pea-ness?

Had no idea that they'd done a TV version!

Yes, and the A-ness and grandma with her peas in her mouth.

I saw it back when that Last Leg episode broadcast. I was crying. It's worth the price of admission for Rosie and Sue absolutely corpsing and Adam barely holding it together. Genius.

Sadly we thought it was dire! Struggled through episode 1 and dumped it after skipping through some of two hoping it would improve.

Big Task Master fans, but not this 😢
