Good Morning everyone

I'm locked in for the full 5 days. TMS on radio, Sky Sports on the TV. No beers in yet, shall pop out at lunch for supplies (may call by the pub too)

Looking like being a tough day for England. 68-0 in an hour of play. Hope is that the Aussies have forgotten how to make hundreds and a series of 30-odds follows.

Ah well no complaints here

What a dickhead.

I said after the last test that their plan to out and out target Moeen needed review. He's just hit him for consecutive fours, and then whacks it down Anderson's throat.

Brainless.

I know to asses the pitch you need to wait until both teams bat but that could be Saturday...

* * ** * * * *

The locals will be remembering what cricket is in the morning

Any chance Geraint Thomas could make his way to Lords for tomorrow. He could bowl them out in no time. Left arm spin at one end, right arm fast from the other. Then score a double hundred. Off 14 balls.

We should be just about halfway through England's reply by the time Flashy arrives for the Day Four action.

Thankfully the cricket didn't stop the enjoyment of my picnic at Lords today.

Beer was cold, I wasn't at work, watching cricket in the sun.

If Lords produced proper cricket wickets it would help, but at least we know the track will still be as good on day 5.

When do we think the declaration will come? After tea today when they have 550 or tomorrow morning on 600+

A half decent reply from England will get a draw ie no follow on.

Well. We did get off a bit lightly with Smith in the first test.

Got tickets for sunday.
Between the tedium and the fact it is going to chuck it down all day I doubt we will be going

Or get themselves out.

On this wicket there is no reason why England shouldn't be able to bat this out.

(I know, I know).

England always inexplicably collapse on good batting wickets where the opposition has posted a decent score.

There's an Aussie collapse going on here though.

Clever captaincy. How to screw with the opposition's minds.

Will wait to see what happens before saying it's clever ๐Ÿ™‚

(England will probably collapse to 70-4 or something similar very soon)

I can't see a collapse today.

80 - 1 at the close. Lyth the man out.

Well that bit is certainly correct...

Cook needs to get a big score here.

FFS - at least try and tire their bowlers out for the follow-on.
