Probably heading to Annecy via Ardennes and Vosges, then down to stay with friends near Lourdes, then north via Bordeaux and the atlantic Coast. T5 camper, tent and three kids (12,9 and 6).
Any help with campsites? Prefer quieter, non-Eurocamp types, but pool/kids stuff a bonus.
Best family sites around Annecy?
Much obliged.

Municipal campsite in Hourtin is nice (Atlantic coast, and right on the beach unlike many) and you can pick up a few decent bottles in the Medoc. There are cycle paths all the way through the pine forests to Spain, there are wild boars in there too. The surf is a bit hit and miss but it is the summer. Get the ferry over when driving north.

We've stayed here at Lac d'orient on the way down.

Stayed here in Annecy.

Both great sites with pools.
