You go upstairs and hear your 15 yo singing (badly) his heart out and rocking to AC/DC highway to hell and back in black!

Brilliant!

On holiday at The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival two years ago, crashed out on deckchairs waiting for a magic show to start. Not much happening in the crowd so the magician (the very entertaining David Randini) starts talking to the kids and asking for requests for the sound crew to play whilst the audience starts to build. My 7 year old daughter asked for Bowie’s Starman and my 9 year old lad asked for Something Fast by the Sister’s of Mercy. They didn’t have it, so he had to make do with The Temple of Love.

Sound crew and magician were laughing.

The other kids were bemused.

The last place you'd expect to hear from people  who try so hard to look like vampires.

I was not there to witness this amazing act but really believe it is safe to say that it must of been an improvement of the original recording no doubt.

👍😉

At our wedding, my 5 yo son asked the DJ if he had any ‘hard rock’
The dj told me about it later, he actually found it hilarious.
I was very proud.

My 12 year old daughter has discovered the box set of Glee on Amazon Prime, god help me

I am pleased to report though, that as the cast massacred Highway to Hell this afternoon, she admitted the original is better!

My fairly nondescript music collection was 'critiqued' by teenaged son. Who went on to study music production at Uni. And got a job in the industry and developed a shed load of contacts. So ended up running a couple of stages at Glastonbury.

And got us tickets for The Chemical Brothers in Cardiff in November.

The other lad just went and pulled it out of the hat too, a 2.1 (better than me or his mum) at Aberystwyth in English Lit and Creative Writing. Graduation last Thursday was wonderful.

It's been a great week!

"hard rock" & "Sisters of Mercy" hahaha.
At the moment Little J absolutely loves george ezra's bloody dirge.
I am ashamed.
I caught him in the bathroom, brushing his hair into a side parting and using the brush as a microphone. "I could get Used to this" = aaaaaghhhhh !
& please dez - crack on enlightening us all about music. thank you very much.
🙂
