What's unemployment got to do with it, just shows you how many useless folk were employed in over bloated public sector / nationalised industries .

I owe her a huge debt of thanks, the late eighties and early 90s were a great time to come of age..
I didn't have to get a job cos there weren't any, no-one my age had any hope, we'd been raised to despise authority and some of the best parties in the whole history of partying were happening up and down the country every weekend..

Law and order were pretty much something that happened to other people, the youht were rebelling and life was magic

And now the parties are gonna break out like a rash all over again..

I'd like to thank her for helping to rapidly bring down a hated military government on it's last legs in Argentina, which was an absolutely vital element in the collapse of all the brutal Washington-backed military dictatorships throughout Latin America.

And which paved the way for the final ditching of free-market neoliberalism in Latin America and its replacement with people-orientated socialist alternatives.
