Hey, off to Thailand (Phuket, think that's how ya spell it) in the summer for a bit of travelling, any idea of any good trails/singletrack etc, or good reliable companies to ride with, hiring out decent bikes or have guided trail rides etc?
My partner is Thai although I have never been there myself. Cant handle the heat. Some of the rural areas off the beaten track are not the safest of places as you probably already know. A guided tour with a reputable comany would be the wat to go. I think there are a lot of mountains to the north and bordering burma but these are very dangerous and probably too far away from Phuket anyway. Still got hill tribes legally growing & using opium up there.
