Badger's tubeless incompetence thread cost me a keyboard.

His meltdowns over the art work was a thing to behold.

Anyway, kid with the full face and 661 peejays.

You went out for a ride and came back and the last topic you were engaged in had slipped on to page 2. Now you'd have to go out and do the Badger Divide (or Mountain Mayhem - rip Pat) for that to happen.

Edit - and long discussions about MTB events were once a thing.

That's what my account says... but pretty sure I joined before that. Dunno. Lots of our old accounts say Xmas '08. My memory fails me a to why that is.

The great hack of Winter 2008.
Everything went back to zero due to some kid in Norfolk. (My memory of location may be fuzzy)

^ that's lead to a grammatical conundrum for me. Does that linkage of possessives need an apostrophe on each? The flag belongs to the daughter, the daughter belongs to the parent, etc.

So, the parent, described here as the owner belongs to the cat....but hang on, surely the definition of owner is that it owns the cat. Can you simultaneously own and be owned by something? And if there's a living creature that owns its owners, then a cat's it.

I hope she is doing well. She'd have been a great source of lived experience here as the world navigates a backwards step in excepting each other.

Being in top ten forum posters in the mag is my proudest moment

I thought that, and then I made the shortlist for the Big Hitters feature, but not the final cut

I've just remembered a great story about Hora. He'd agreed to buy a bike (might have been a frame) from Gingerflash* and they'd agreed a price of something like £300.

So he drove over to Leeds and when he got to Gingerflash's house he said "will you take "£287.60, cos I came out with the £300 cash but spent £12.40 on an indian takeaway on the way over"

(Numbers made up, but you get the jist)

And then when he opened the car to but the bike/frame in, the takeaway had spilt all over the boot...

*Gingerflash and MrsFlash being well-remembered as the Posh and Becks of the forum

The only time I've met Chipps he may have been hungover and was not overly sociable (on the STW stand at a bike show at Earls Court, I think). Cy Turner was much friendlier but he had recently taken my money for an original Soul!
