softshell proof
all look the same to me - whats different apart from bottle??

The spray on ones are for waterproofs. The softshell is for water-resisting softshells. Probably same technology but a different base mixture with different properties, cos it has to work differently on different fabrics. In short, different.
Spray on vs wash-in is a different argument.
