I have suffered seriously with migraines since I was about 14 years old. I'm now 42 and they show no signs of easing. I have had mri, ct scans, eye tests and every test available, but all is OK and no noticeable cause for them. The last step is invasive eye and brain surgery to find the cause. I said I'd put up with it, don't really fancy that.
I always have a headache, it's just how bad a headache it is. Over the years I have learnt to deal with it and get on with things.
The one I currently have is a major one. It's been like it for about 2 weeks solid. It's one of those that even hurts to turn my head. Haven't had one lasting this long for a couple of years.
How do you deal with them? Any suggestions?
Have you tried Sumatriptan, oxygen therapy etc...?
Nerve damage? Hormones? Posture? Caffeine? Stress? I’ve not experience just throwing some ideas out there
Doesn't sound like a classic migraine to me.
My wife had severe headaches which we eventually (after similar investigations to you), tracked it down to tight muscles impinging on nerves in her face and neck. Might be worth investigating - heading to a physio is probably more appealing than random surgery!
I worked with someone who had similar issues, turned out to be something to do with their jaw which had to be broken and reset. Fixed the migraines afaik.
