I have a proper one of those sat in the container - and I mean PROPER.
at that price - thats a toy for playing at the beach.
The skin will be very thin, seating poor, oars, made of cheese, etc.
No ability to attach an outboard should you really like it.
Depending on where you are have a good look in a Chandlers as you often find them reduced to clear.
Mine was bought for a "one off" job and has been stored since but it's too good to get rid of really just in case.
I'd agree that's a toy. Avoid.
What are you looking to use it for? If just pootling about then what about an inflatable kayak?
We've got one of these - great fun and very robust. Doesn't track as well as a hard shell but packs down into a duffel bag which will fit in most car boots. We've paddled the Wye and also done some sea kayaking in ours.
it would be for going along the shore for a few miles and back from studland, with a view to if it pops or i don't like it, i haven't wasted much money.
You won't be able to control it properly either as it won't steer and will just be flotsam.
The explorer 200 is the boat of choice for exploring

We've got the Sevylor Colorado and it is a nice bit of kit. Feels proper tough and will handle a few wakes and being dragged around.
Avoid, get a sea kayak if all you need/want to do is pootle along the beach.
Would you go MTBing on this
It wouldn't last 5 minutes,same applies..
Druidh to the thread!
Another vote for Sevylor canoes. We've an Adventure and an Adventure Plus, have been really pleased with them. They are NOT in the same league as hard shell boats, but for lakes/easy rivers/calm sea they are brilliant. A huge plus being both boats plus all the kit goes in the boot of the car 😀
