depends how friendly your company is - I think I managed to get mine so that I made the time up (mostly ๐Ÿ˜€ ) so I didn't lose the hols

I took the day as holiday. It is an amazing experience so I didn't give a damn about using up my holiday allowance for it.

Go after work or on the weekend. Or pull a sicky.

Is it just me that finds the notion of Hora as some kids 'Dad' slightly worrying/a fascinating social experiment?

I'm locking the office door and transferring the phones to my mobile, sometimes things in life really are not rocket science.

It's appointment so your time, although they may give you some discretion. I reckon your best bet is to ask your boss not on here.

Perspective. Thank you and agree.

On a funny note. (Rightly) Midwifes dont have a sense of humour.....

I rang up ours over our blood test results....and when questioned who I was I said 'I am Lisas new partner' - added only kidding (hmmm) ๐Ÿ™„

I thought 'best to ask on a mountain bike forum first' ๐Ÿ˜‰

You'll find they do but your joke is often very true so they have to be careful.

Drac, true. Funnily after our first scan I left the room and the midwife asked me girlfriend if she had suffered domestic violence. GF laughed- why do you ask? Midwife explained they now have to as a matter of course and over 1/2 who they ask answer yes.

We didn't get that question at our first scan.

no, we didn't either.

Maybe they pre-select the women they ask to acheive such a high 'positive' response?

"I wonder why it's not implemented at our posh hospital near the posh estates."

I'm not sure class/income is always a good indication of the risk of domestic violence for women, tbh, but I know what you mean.

wwaswaas: I'm just messing with him. I've no idea if it is implemented or not. My wife actually works at the same hospital that we go to for her scans so maybe they just didn't ask her in front of me.

I guessed really Graham - that's why I tried to be gentle with you ๐Ÿ˜‰

I always feel a bit like I'm kicking a puppy taking the mick out of hora, though ๐Ÿ™

My GF is quite gregarious (unlike me) and shes quite inquisitive- it turns out in a recession when someone becomes pregnant it can cause resentment from the father to be along with the other emotions. If the mother to be answers yes they offer a range of counseling. My guess is nip violence early. However if a bloke is going to smack someone who is pregnant hes not going to be best pleased if he finds out his missus ratted him up.
