So, the kids were viewing some innocent star wars lego animations on youtube. I had a look see and some of the comments posted are incredible with their language and vitriol to other posters.
This is about lego!!!!
Anyway, the point is, can you install a filter on an ipod/ipad that would operate as a swear filter?
Or generally, a parental control system as on a pc?
...oh...and can I not have the anticpated "bad parent"..."lack of supervision" comments from the usual suspects please..keep it IT based...ta
Agree fully, Youtube,Yahoo etc needs a swear filter as many of the comments are inappropriate and offensive, oh and a spell checker would be good as well.
I think the problem is that the comments on youtube don't just contain the odd rude word. A swear filter isn't going to deal with the bullying, racism, and general misanthropy. The people who post a video have the option to turn comments on or off for their post, but it would be nice for people viewing the site to be be able to view with all comments off
I believe there's a YouTube comments blocker extension for Chrome.
Completely agree and would be interested in the responses.
My 5 year old went from Dora the Explorer to Dora on crack killing the monkey with an axe in a single link.
That said if you've got time to create an animation of Dora on crack you're a dick with too much time on your hands.
bump for the monday night IT crowd?
Surely you'd need Youtube to put in a content rating system?
