Oh and Tom I checked the try and it certsinly wasnt AWJ at fault. He was the pillar and had to stay tight to the ruch. Scorer was SOBs man. SOB rushed up and only managed a slap.

Good player if he is on form. Shit about Healey though if he's gone.

Healers not gone yet. His ankle is not broken, Corbs draughted as cover just in case. Hope he gets a game though; he's missing the arg tour for this! Be a shame for him if he doesn't get a run out.

You have to wonder just how many injuries it's going to take before Grant gets a phone call. Has he shagged Rowntree's missus or something?

Healey cited for biting.
The citing commissioner is called Freek Burger 😀

No such thing as an easy pool in the Heineken. Happy enough with Ulsters pool, we stuffed the Tigers in Belfast and were unlucky to loose in Leicester so we have a good shout of getting out of the pool.

I don't think the citing will end Healy's tour, more likely to be the injury.

Another tough group for Munster. 😐

Will have to try and get a ticket for the Edinburgh away game.

duckie, any use in asking you about that?

What is the draw based on? It is just cos Carduff are above Glasgow and London North are above Glaws.
D-D They will be plenty because they will prob move it to Murrayfield. Drinking wise, well it will be a dirty job, but I am willing to appoint meself as your tour guide.

Apologies to the Welsh contingent for discussing the Heineken cup...you see, it's this competition that runs every year where clubs from around Europe compete to be crowned as Champions of Europe. 🙂

As to the citing, a case could be made (by me especially cos I was a forward) that the scrum half was maybe sticking fingers in his face and got caught and got his complaint in first.

Think the seedings for the draw are based on past pefromance in the HC.

My hopes for Edinburgh this coming year is simply to score a point in the first two matches which would be an improvement over this year. 😳

Yep Toulon's is easiest group. Quins is a tough one.

I only caught the first 25 mins of the match yesterday so missed both bits re CH. But is he in danger of becoming another Hartley ie, good player but prize one ****t and liability at the same time? Put both of them together and the yellow card risk jumps immediately.

As an (ex-) Hooker, I am still staggered at how poor the line out throwing remains at the highest level in the game. You can almost see the fear in the hookers' eyes in the way that Thommo always had a pained expression on his face even in 2003.

To be fair to Best he was chucking at two new to him locks, whereas Hibbard only had POC new

AA, I like Hibbard (despite...!) but again not confident that he can hit his man. He has come a long way since staring in Overboard. Bet he has some tales about Goldie?

I would have expect to have been dropped if I missed two or more throws by the kind of margins that we still see at the top level. Perhaps, I am being too nostalgic. We used to actually hook the ball when I last played as well!!

Despite oppo, I though Lions looked good for first part that I saw and still great competition for places. Ok, not at 15 or 10 now!!

I don't think that Healy is an inherently dirty player. I would be surprised if anything happens about yesterdays incident. As for the Dan Cole stamp, it was outside the rules but Cole was wrong side and I think his competitive nature got the better of him.

Rory's darts have always been a bit too inconsistent. Its a shame because the rest of his game is very solid.

Think that's a pretty good HC draw for Glaws.

I'm a bit surprised that anyone is trying to justify this blatantly cynical attempt to injure a fellow professional.

Oh, and FWIW, Perpignan for an away match would be a great weekend away.

I know. Poor effort. However, in my defence, just off the back of a thirteen hour flight during which I spent most of my time in a little locked room in the cabin rather than my seat. Large parts of the Urals have been sprayed. 🙁

Odds on how long Hovis lasts before getting injured again?

As I said before, POC or AWJ should have been captain.

I would say that is a pretty strong Reds team, certainly most feature regularly in the Super15, hopefully we will get a decent match.

Not the strongest Lions frontrow with Stevens in at 3 and Youngs at 2. Bowe aside that could be the dirt tracker backline, still quite tasty looking mind. Back five of the scrum will need big games.

I reckon the Tuilagi/Roberts decision is wide open. Faletau and warbs are going to need big games. Would Gats not start his capt in the tests though? I do wonder if SOB is on a hiding to nothing.

Not trying to justify, just state that I don't believe Healy is an inherently dirty player.

On sat team the forwards could get it tight in this one, bit light weight looking.

Why are the midweek team playing (sorry Sam and Manu) on a Saturday? 😉

(Correct me if I am wrong, but CH does "have previous". If other props (Welsh for sure) are better/as good but also better at controlling the red mist/not getting caught 😉 ) then why take the risk in a test match?)

True, but I expect Roberts to get the nod due to his defence. Am I reading too much into it that Tuilagi seems to have been picked at 13 and we assume BOD has 13 wrapped up? Whilst Davies is getting a run at 12 seems they are all auditioning to partner BOD. Faletau was very good in the first game, I think his work rate in defence is better than Heaslip but Heaslip is a better carrying threat, big call.
Easily possible to pick a very strong test 15 with no English or Scots. I think Grey will start but the english are marginal calls like Tuilagi/Roberts, Adam/DankHole, Gethin/Vunipola/Healey or Croft/Lydiate

AA, I agree that BOD is "chosen" 13 (rightly or wrongly) and it is up to the other three to show how can break the game line and offload to release BOD best. Very tight call IMO, but not sure about the basic assumption though (ie BOD as a shoe-in - in the past for sure, now.....?)
