What are the chances of a bit of skulduggery and fisicuffs today then?

"Only the good" was a class prop.

very little, the western force are playing a second 15 as they have a proper game at the weekend, will be lucky to let them see the ball.

Wow, a combination of some serious scraps there and hilarious misses with swinging arms. I guess Jones and Farr-jones were not best mates at the time! But there are some that look a bit Hugh Grant versus Colin Firth.

Think I will go with Mr C Healey to be involved in a bit of handbags first today.

89 was like a throwback to an early 70's visit to the high Veldt. Jones had such a case of angry little man I thought he was Scottish. Mind you any back row containing Finlay Calder is going to be punchy, making him skipper is just asking for trouble. Mans a legend, he was sacked as Stuarts Melville player/coach for commenting on a well upholstered young lady on the touchline while he under the posts waiting for the oppo to convert. Methinks the fire had somewhat left his belly by then. 😆

I agree, he'll be the main target, he's our best player.
They'll do what they can to avoid playing him in the tests.
Of today's team, I'd say Johnny Sexton would be a marked man too, he looks pretty critical to the success of the series.
Might kick off if they have a go at Manu too. I reckon all of Oz would rather not play him, but with his fuse there's more likely to be a bit of return.

Dunno why some people on these threads have to talk like football fans.
Dawson "not fit" to talk about Howley? What utter crap.
Joost, Howley & Dawson were all fantastic. (And I can't stand S.A.)

See ya.

The clue's in the OP

9 to 15 linking and reading each other well.

Heaslip and O'Brien carried well. Vunipola makes an impact. AWJ was solid, led the pack well.

1/2p has his shirt tattoo'd on. No ones taking that away from him.

Stuff to work on. Early days yet.

Pack were good in the loose but should be scrummaging better and a few lineouts went astray. I know it is early but the set piece should be better it is one of the easier things to practice.

1/2ps place kicking was awesome.

Sexton and O'Brien were really good, Vunipola in the loose was a real handful. BOD and Manu worked well together.

It is going to be tough on the flanker that loses out to Warburton they have all been playing well particularly O'Brien and Tipuric.

Would Gatland play O'Brien at 8 with Tipuric and Warburton?

All going a bit to well, the challenge now is to maintain the intensity / form and avoid injuries. It would be tempting to put Lee Halfpenny in a box until the first test, awesomeness from him today.

Scored more points than the aussie cricket team did yesterday.

Hope not. Would play into Aussie hands imo if he went fast and loose. With the likely centres and wing options to bang it up the middle he'll want a back row to keep it tight not stretch it and risk turn overs out wide.. I am assuming he's going to use tic taks similar to the way wales play.
Does anyone know where someone might be able to download the game if they lacked moral fibre?

Zokes feel free not to post if you find friendly banter too challenging.

I disagree A-A, we know the Aussies will play a pest at 7. We need somebody quick with a tidying brief or we will lose pens all day.

True, but we also don't need a backrow with two sevens and a 6.5 which SOB Tips and Warbs would be, one of tips/Warbs then its between, SOB, Croft and Lydiate for 6 and Faletau, Heaslip at 8.

he will be top of the Aussie target list or maybe just behind Sexton. Healey will be a big loss if he's properly broken.

Zokes is posting all about rugby? Why the comment?

Still going to end up with Croft in the backrow.

My observations from that highlight video:

Western Force were shite!!!
1/2p and Sexton are shoe ins. Other backs for me would be Phillips, North, Bowe, BOD and either Tuilagi or Roberts.

Vunipola is awesome and could start. Front row of him Adam and Hibbard is my guess.

Heaslip has to be right in contention for a start.

Tuilagi and BOD Looked like a pairing that worked well although Tuilagi was at fault for their second try.

AWJ looked a bit suspect for their first try.

hard to tell isn't it, depends on who put what where first, Healey doesn't appear to be letting go mind.

looked like SOB rushing up and missing leaving a hole to me, if Vunipola can improve his scrummaging he could be very useful, Healey if not banned or broken should be test 1 imo. Not bad to have Gethin waiting in the wings either.
Its hard to judge much when playing shite teams though. I want to see how Croft goes when having to defend like crazy for wave after wave, I'd prefer Lydiate maybe but Lydiate wont look much good playing shit teams that don't test his defence......
