Oh come on, it's not THAT bad...

He hasn't gone to run and wriggle! 😉

Besides, he wouldn't get a game for Wales.

It's funny you say this as I often wonder about all the other imports, Hartly, Botha etc. You'd think they might want to play for their own country. Strikes me as either strange or that you are right in that they are not good enough to play for their own country

Surely not, Toys. I mean, read this;

Shock as passionate British man leaves for foreign lands

The rugby world has been rocked by the utterly unexpected decision of former British Lion and England centre Riki Flutey to move to the colonies.

Despite achieving what was no doubt a life-long burning ambition to represent the British and Irish Lions (as he did in 2009) and winning 14 caps for his beloved England, the threequarter has, for some unknown reason, decided to commit his future to the land of New Zealand.

Many are claiming it is the oddest move since Welshman Shane Howarth upped sticks and also headed to the land of the long white cloud.

Ok I'm no expert on the rules but I thought that once you had represented one national side you cannot represent another right? Wasn't that the whole argument about that welsh lad who wanted to play for TJ's adopted country in the 6N? (wasn't he a Morgan too?).

Ben Morgan would be very usefull for Wales, not as good as Faletau but after that Wales only have Ryan Jones and he is a far better 6 than 8 and also will not be around for ever. Botha wouldnt get near the SA team but has done well to play for England, same applies to Barrit, Hartley is a pretty good player, Manu Tuilagi would certainly get in the Samoa team. I reckon many are just in it to maximise earnings and fair play to them

Yeah once you've played for a full test team or their nominated second team, usually the A Team you are stuck. Shingler wanted to play for Scotland but as Wales dont have an A team the under 20's were their nominated team so Shingler couldnt play for Scotland as he had played u20 for Wales. He's not that good anyway, his brother who has a few caps in the backrow for Wales is by=tter.

In that case Flashys point about Flutey and Shane Howarth doesn't mean anything, so they've moved to NZ so what, they are not eligible or ever going to be eligible to play for NZ are they?

In Vissers case his dad and others in Holland wanted him to play for them but he wanted to play at the top level. He had an interesting choice to make of big fish in small pond or small fish in a bigger pond

I didn't intend to be mean, apologies if I've offended any scots.
Just a bit of light hearted banter is all.

Speaking of Shane Howarth and Grannygate.

London Wasps have appointed former New Zealand and Wales international Shane Howarth as their new backs coach.

The 43-year-old has had spells coaching with the Auckland Blues, New Zealand Maori and the Pacific Islanders.

I remember a schools level game against Glawstershire. The crowd ( around 500+ people) just droned "GLAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSTER GLAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSTER! GLAWWWWWWWWSTER" all game.

Made us laugh. A lot.

We spanked them by about 50 points!

Sorry to disappoint but I don't reside in the shed. That's scamper, the welsh glawster fan.
Nice that flashy remembers his posh school outing to beat the commoners though.

Wrecker, that wasn't a game for my school, but a regional game, comprising the best players at an age group in the region, regardless of their school. Best that you put that shoulder chip back in the cupboard for a while.

😉
