Hi folks. I'm interested in buying a bag for my gravel bike and overwhelmed by choice, size and best positioning on the bike. I don't want to be carrying stuff in rucksack/jersey/short pockets anymore. What system works best for you? I'll be using a water bottle and maybe a storage tub on the frame, so the bag would need to hold a spare tube, phone, keys, card, extra tools, and compact waterproof. I've looked at the alpkit and ortleib range of top tube and saddlebags, but unsure about size. Maybe I should go for a larger frame or bar bag to carry what I need for the day? Thoughts/experiences will be much appreciated. Many Thanks.

Alpkit frame bag with side pull bottle cages. Works for me.

Thanks, is that the Glider bag? Looks like it should do a good job and leaves space for bottles

Half-frame bag like a Revelate Designs Tangle / Alpkit Glider, a top tube bag too for convenience for snacks etc and I keep my spare tube / tools in a small Ortlieb waterproof seat pack.
