Has anyone else noticed that it's far more effective to do a "Google X-Ray search" of STW when searching posts?

Something along the lines of:

site:singletrackworld.com/forum (balance AND bike AND age OR years)

into Google and get far more relevant and clearer results with more flexible searching.ย  You can then do things like click onย tools at the top of the results and filter by age.

Or, is it just me!?

Search is back!

The forum search is back. Right now you may find results for forum posts posted between late 2010 and early 2013 will not be returned by the search, but they will be there after the weekend.

Search is back, but I'm suggesting it's not necessarily the best way to do things....

Interesting, this. Purely for the reason that I wonder if a Google X-Ray search would have told you the answer. Hmm.

Very Inception....

Just to clarify, I understand that the search function is back, but despite this, with the correct search termย you can get better results by going through Google.

WTF is an "X-ray search"?

The forum search has never worked AFAIK, so I've always used Google. Evan have a shortcut s-s-t-w (without the dashes) set to automatically expand to "site:singletrackworld.com/forum" to make it quicker!!

I always used this:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/search-the-current-site/jliolpcnkmolaaecncdfeofombdekjcp?hl=en

Still, we've got a new search engine now, see how it goes.
