This just about edges it.

Saw them supporting St Etienne back in the day.  Live, Jenny Ondioline took it.  Somewhere I've got a 20 minute version of it, must dig it out...

First track I heard of theirs (got it on 10" vinyll IIRC) and still my favourite...

I know Jenny Ondioline is more impressive, but this was just so perfectly formed and I have happy memories of seeing them play it live in places like Harlow and Southend.

When I woke up this morning, I had no idea STW would bring back such joyful, out of the blue, memories. Off to dig out CD collection...

One of those bands I wanted  to like, but they were always a bit too twee for me...then, last year I saw the band !!! (chkchkchk) live and the support was, well, themselves renamed Stereolad. The singer wore a dress and spoke in a French accent (he’s American 🙂 ) and they played a whole set of Stereolab covers . Made me realise how good Stereolab’s songs were. So yeah, thats my Stereolad ahem Stereolab story ☺️

That is very good.

I'll be honest I lost interest in Stereolab when they went all wishy-washy, but they were a terrific live act BITD.

Can't get past French Disko I'm afraid.

Pop perfection.
