At least they're not half empty.

At least there's usable milk content.

My son used to put technical containers of milk back in the fridge. Yes, one femtolitre is technically milk, but it's entirely unusable in the domestic context

Apart from the frisson of excitement i got from someone else knowing the SI prefix for 10^-15, it's not that far off the amount of milk my MiL demands in coffee, any more and she complains it's too milky.

Literally I have to put some in a cup and put a bit in from a teaspoon because my motor controls / a 2 liter bottle are incompatible and it's less hassle than enduring the grumbling or making it again.

Ooh, I had one last night. Riding along in a cycle lane. 3 women ahead, one pushing her bike on the pavement (she was ok), her 2 friends one walking in the cycle lane, the other riding at walking pace next to them in the cycle lane.

The road was reasonably quiet so I could easily avoid them and didn't really need to shout "mind your backs" as I hammered past and around them. But in a main road out of town I shouldn't need to ask people not to block the cycle lane for the sake of their post pilates conversation.

Cambridge:HuntindonRoad:Eddington area, if it was you kindly stop.

Expiry dates on bagged and sealed sterile equipment. Just done stock-keeping with lead nurse and I'm having to bin otherwise perfectly usable stock - face masks, alcohol swabs, needles...nuts

In two of them, probably.  I'll wager one is cottage cheese.

"Near-death containers" is her MO, I've posted this before.  There's half an inch of washing up liquid left in the bottle, time for a new one.  See also: shampoo, polish, deodorant, toothpaste...

Pour it into the mug first, tip it all out, then pour in the coffee.

22 notifications so far but no parcel - they really are not fit for purpose but if you buy from ebay you mostly don't have a choice...

Local St John's Ambulance, emergency services, nurse and paramedic colleges, etc will probably take some of that for training, stitching up banana skins, etc.

Otherwise store it for the next pandemic, it'll be worth ££bns.

Bandages will be appreciated by Scout and Guide groups for first aid practice/mummification purposes. Needles, maybe not.

Toilet roll that has weak tear lines. But not uniformly weak, no

Or those toilet paper dispensers that have a small circular hole through which you pull sheets, but fail at some point in the day so that there’s no end to grab, something that the inexperienced don’t notice until it’s too late.

{sorry if that’s been done, but I tried asking Stan to check and Anthropic told me I didn’t have enough credit}

but PARTICULARLY in a meeting. There's one in particular who is notorious for turning up 5-10 mins late

One of our most important committees used to be chaired by someone who would send out all the meeting papers an hour or less before the meeting, and almost always overrun (the worst being 2 hours over on a 1 hour meeting - it only ended because someone else had booked the room). Disproportionately cross doesn’t apply to that scenario though.

We don't carry that much bandages or compression bandages to be honest. We don't do wound care any more, and we'll send you down to the pharmacy if you've a 'script from A&E for dressings. Most wound care is done by district and community nurse teams these days.

Known as "Cat's arse" dispensers in our office, and universally despised by everyone, for reasons we all understand but do not speak of.

In a life previous to teaching I was at a meeting in Whitehall and a Colonel gave a piece of wisdom about this that I quote regularly to our disorganised managers

"If you get the agenda then week before, we're here to discuss things. 24hrs before and we're here to just agree".

I think we can all guess why they took those out of public toilets.

This one has been hung too low, theres too much a temptation there if theres no bum wipe.
