Not sure if ive got the early onset of arthritis, but my elbows have been bothering me for a while now, used to play badminton and got a bit of pain in my right elbow, thought I had tennis elbow for a bit, but that kind of went away and now have some niggles with the left and sometimes the right.
I now train karate twice a week, some classes being heavy impact on the focus pads and last nights class was "arm-bar tastic", and elbow throws so today my elbows are killing me.
So anyway of strenghtening your elbow joints? I do weights (press, rows, curls dips, deadlifts squats etc) twice a week also, but not sure my technique is right and this could be causing some of the problem.
maybe its just old age? 36 going on 37...
if it's actually the bones (rather than muscles and tendons) that are aching then weights etc probably won't help bar wearing them out quicker.
You could try one of the cod liver oil type 'joint remedies', maybe?
[s]You need to be more specific. Joints are goverened mainly by ligaments which you can't train.[/s]
You do karate and complain about pain? TAke up basket weaving.

Try sitting with a can of beans (or similar weight) in your hand, with your elbow on the arm of a chair so the weight gently extends your arm.
I'd reccomend one of these....

In a previous life as a rockclimber, I used to get problems with my elbows if I trained too much on overhanging stuff. Apparently according to someone who knew more about it than me, this is because whilst the muscles build strength quickly, the tendons take a lot longer so you have to scale back your training until the tendons catch up and can take the extra strain. If you're doing weights then maybe you have something similar?
