It's like this see, I'm streaming Spotify on my Android phone to my Bluetooth speaker at work.
I have very good signal, 4G. Occasionally though it seems to just stutter and hang up.
I've noticed that it only really does this when the phone sleeps.
I've tried setting the auto sleep of the phone to 30 minutes and sure enough, I seem to get an uninterrupted stream.
I don't want the phone 'awake' for ages though. Anyone come across this and have an idea what I might try in the settings to improve things?
What make phone? It's probably killing the app when sleeping/running in the background, huawei are known for aggressive battery management of apps.
Go into the app setting/battery management and set to manual, this should allow the app to run in the background.
I get this too on a Samsung s10 now and again.
Check your account not been hacked/ taken over as I also had that previously, was sorted by customer services essentially deleting my account and resetting it.

I had similar recently when listening through my Bluetooth earbuds, might have been yesterday. Have hardly used it today though. Pixel 3 here.
Sounds like your phone might be putting Spotify to sleep. You can access a list of apps in the battery/power settings and toggle them on & off.
Yep, me and the Mrs have both had this in the last week. Just closing the app and opening again seems to sort it.

Thanks, I don't seem to have that setting in my pixel though.
Done a bit more digging around and it seems that it's a common issue with the Android 11 update.
Not sure that helps fix it for now but hopefully a fix will come.
