Just had a steroid injection in my ankle this afternoon to combat exercise induced pain - was broken twice (10 years ago and 23 years ago)
Can I ride tomorrow? Feels fine, great in fact.

Hi. I give steroid injections regularly and generally advise 48 hours "rest" as it is said that using the joint too much can cause a flare up.
How much evidence there is for this I'm not sure.
If it does flare up it will be temporary, so just get some ice on the joint and neck some brufen or similar.
Having received a steroid injection in my shoulder there was a definite mild warmth for 24 hours or so afterwards, and I didn't do anything with it.
On the whole it's probably sensible to rest it. No point in having more pain than you need to!

I've had 2 steriod injections in my foot. The first one, I was fine. The second one was a struggle even to get around the house.

Susie, thanks. I feel fine, I guess I will rest it as I don't want to ruin the effectiveness of the therapy..

Whoever gave you the injection would have told you minimum 48hrs doing not a lot and ideally a week before you return to active duties.
