Off soon to a stag weekend in Ambleside, mainly an excuse to get away mountain biking as we're all a bit too old for the lap dancing / drink till we can't stand type of do.
Any suggestions for some good pubs etc for the Saturday night?
Go to the Wheelhouse at bowness for a huge night out
The Sportsmans' Bar is a must - late opening, dirty and loud - typical locals 'nightclub' type place. It is where we always end up if riding around that way 🙂
If memory serves - do you not have to get a ticket for the late bit of the Sportmans? Long time ago that we had a stag do in Ambleside so things might be different now with the licensing changes...
We have never had to - if you are in the upstairs bar before kicking out, they allow you to go straight downstairs. (Last time I was there was two years ago though).
