Here are some recent pictures I've taken of some of my more "friendly" spiders as I've been re-housing a few and have some breeding projects on the go too.

Above is Incy Wincy and she's my Red Knee Mexican who is relatively docile and doesn't flick her bristles at me when feeding or in her home. She's far from full grown but is getting there but as they can live 20-40 years she's still a baby really.

Here is Flick and she is a Mexican Fireleg and she's quite an impressive stocky girl who flicks her bristles at the slightest shadow or movement in her home. Luckily she hasn't tagged me properly with them yet but I did get caught with a couple once and they did itch a bit.

Here is Lottie and she is a wild caught Blue Femur and the picture really doesn't do her colours much justice as in the right light those legs are quite blue indeed. When she arrived she laid an egg-sac which unfortunately I couldn't get to as she was very protective and so they did not hatch. She is quite docile too and is the usual "rock" tarantula in that she stands in the open all the time and doesn't move at all. I'm on the hunt for a male to try get them breed as they're a well sought after tarantula.
Never realised some spiders lived that long!
Wow, they're beauties! Loving the Fireleg.
*swoon*
I ate white tarantula in cambodia last year, chewy, but even as a delicacy it was more like a bush tucker trial, the really worst bit was the only thing around safe to was it down was red bull. Quite a bizarre day.
