What are they like to live with on a daily basis? I know that all phones have their downsides but is this one any good? What are its positives?
Is it easy to go from gingerbread to ice-cream sandwich?

Sony and O2 are the worst possible combination for firmware upgrades. I'm expecting ICS sometime before the second coming of Christ, but I won't be holding my breath.
There's a screen burn issue on early handsets, where heat causes the screen to turn yellow in places. Sony replace according to the internet.
Apart from that, I'm finding it a decent enough phone. Tbh, Android phones are pretty much identical inside, it's just how you want the outside to look.
