Shine on you crazy diamond - my dad chose it to be played at his funeral and it chokes me up every time I hear it now.

Seeing Nils Frahm 8th march at the Paradiso in Amsterdam as part of the 5 days off music festival, and Jon Hopkins at the end of this month up in Glasgow - my new years resolution was to see at least one gig per month and sod the expense.

Needless to say i'm rather pleased with my resolution ๐Ÿ˜€

I have 2:

Jon & Vangellis "I'll find my way home"
&
Genesis "Follow You, Follow Me"

Both still to this day make me shiver.. and a certain pang makes me want to cry for some reason or other.... ๐Ÿ˜

Show how many people are actually listening to the suggestions on here, I posted the most toe curling track I could think of and not one squeak of protest.

Quite liking Woods Of Ypres and Kona Triangle though, good to have a musical rummage every now and again.

Prefab Sprout, "Bonny":

"I count the hours since you slipped away
I count the hours that I lie awake
I count the minutes and the seconds too
All I stole and I took from you."

Feeling this today. Please leave me, old ghost, and let that semblance of happiness where I say "her? I hardly ever think about her!" return.

or one day like this or scattered black and white or grace under pressure, mr garvey's songs do seem to produce a lot of goose bumps.

Northwind - I know exactly what you mean =)

Some great stuff on here.

Not sure how to do links and so on, but check out Aereogramme's stuff - a lot of their songs do the job. One band that never got the recognition they deserved.
