Trying to clear up after a 1 night sleep over from a 4 year old I managed to clear the 'stuff' off the desk to reveal a pile of half a dozen of these round bands.

I havew finally found a use for them. Guess what

I used to use the bigger ones to bundle up our passports for international travel (when that was a thing)

Are we bored enough to watch you turn them in to art?

I know the answer to this.

You put them in your back pocket, and keep collecting them there.

If you don't fill your pocket before you wash your trousers, then you lose, and you have to empty the washing machine filter as penance.

If you do fill your pocket before you wash your trousers, then you win, and you empty said pocket into some safe repository so at least all the damn things are in one place. The game then starts again and the four year old recommences entropy-informed distribution of round bands around the house.

Someone little left these on my desk – guess what they are for

In my house they are more commonly used for making a bit of a mess in every corner than for putting in hair.

Budget fork wipers seals?

I apparently only ever use them wrong for their intended purpose or hair retention on a 4 year old

Same here. My washing machine drum also has perforations too small to eat them so they usually end up in the door seal.

I keep the old ones that my girls don't like - really useful for all sorts of stuff, they don't degrade like normal elastic bands do. Cables, kit

Or do they decorate your gearstick in your car?

Aw that's a poor effort there WCA ,you could have turned them in to a tiddlywinks game. The clip used as a launcher, the bands as wee nest/targets with different points for each colour.#funfirall 😉 🙂

Aw, spoilers. I was going to go with "projectile weaponry."

But yeah, I've used hair bands* to tie up things like USB cables for years.

@WCA - now that’s a neat idea, next time I come across any rummaging around in cars, I’ll keep them for that; if got lots of cables that could do with a tidy-up.
@Cougar - what you did there…👏🏻😁

Shame about the spelling, but brings back memories of my misspent youth

I realised that about 5 minutes outside the edit window and hoped I'd got away with it. (-:

Oh, shit, I thought MCTD meant Motley rather than Motley! I didn't spot the Cure slip at all.

Yeah, the problem there though is, I simply couldn't be ringed. I'd have C&Ped it from Google if I'd known there was going to be a test.
