.,.and have just broken your usual driving glasses (Oakley juliets). I need to look suave during the day, and sporty when in casual mode.
What would you recommend - on an £50 budget? 😕
Do you have a small ish head? If so, Eyewaearoutlet are doing Five Squared's for £52.
Oakley Juliet's are anything but suave.. 😉
Tifosis by default.
Well the answer is of course, sod the money and get some Ray Ban's
More importantly What's the car? and piccies? (are you talking about 159? am I getting confused by heritage?)
It's an estate, in the sunshine 8)
.....depending on how you have 'broken' your Oakley's I would send them back and get them repaired.
A mate of mine sent his back (quite a few years ago now) for a new frame after he stood on them); can't remember what they were, maybe A-wires - about £120 anyway.
He paid £17 for a new frame and when they came back a small scratch on one of the lenses had also gone, so he got sent a new pair of glasses for £17.
Or...

etc
Uvex do some nice glasses
Depends how worried about the brand you are though, probably.
Did you used to play drums in Limp Bizkit?
And a 10 year old estate car isn't really "heritage" is it?
you'll need to buy an italian heritage car to go with what ever specs you buy....
In my french van i just wear dark safety specs 😉
I wear X-Squared in my 159ti for daily driving, Ray Ban's if I'm going somewhere posh.
Fives Squareds sound like the sort of thing you want.
Ray Bans or some brown Frogskins are what you should be getting.

I assumed it was humour/sarcasm.....
Please tell me it is/was?!
For a proper Italian heritage car it has to be Wayfarers and to hell with the price.
For your car I'd recommend some Foster Grant Aviator ripoffs 😉
"the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society: man-made heritage"
Don't see the issue.
Anyway, Wayfarer's or Aviators then if life was good, Blocs if not. Sunglasshut webcam based face detector says I have a square face.
"second hand"
neither do I
Anyway for good sunnies with excellent lenses and quality frames, have a look at the Wimbledon branded ones. Made by Rodenstock and better quality than most.
Kryton, if you took your definition:
Kryton57 - Member"the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society: man-made heritage"
from Wikipedia, you missed off the word "cultural".
This looks to be the full quote:
Cultural heritage is the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society that are inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the benefit of future generations.
Cultural heritage includes tangible culture (such as buildings, monuments, landscapes, books, works of art, and artifacts), intangible culture (such as folklore, traditions, language, and knowledge), and natural heritage (including culturally significant landscapes, and biodiversity).
I reckon that a nice looking, but fairly ordinary Italian estate car is pushing the boundaries of that definition. 😉 😀
If it was a vintage Ducati, or perhaps a really old Bugatti, like the 1936 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic then you might have a point.
So I need Wayfarers for driving the front car* but what about the second car**?
Blonde wig and fake boobs should do it 🙂
Those fiat pandas in 4x4 are well sought after here and a 20 year old one can fetch 6k euros
You must've tried hard to break a pair of Juliets. I'll have them off you
Its a diesel Alfa FFS. Put a bag over your head, cut two holes for your eyes in it (optional) and get a bloody life!

Harsh 🙁

I'm confused. You're driving along in a car. You won't look suave or sporty, you'll just look like a bloke in a car. Or maybe a bloke in a car who's trying too hard.
Or maybe a bloke in a car who's trying too hard.
And whats wrong with that? Summer's here. Its time to make a middle age fool of myself learning at ladies. You all do it even if you won't admit it, and its always better done in shades 😀

Please see the gif above, Kryton. 😉

😆
****ing lol you wear those?
Big **** off RayBans, it's the only way.
Who n earth asks for advice on what sunglasses to choose?
Ah, someone who calls a modern Alfa "heritage" and thinks oakleys look good outwith sport.
Nothing wrong with asking about sunnies.
A lot wrong with calling an Alfa estate "Italian heritage..." though!
Raybans for driving. Glasses with a gradient tint (right terminology) are my preference (in an Australian heritage sports car)
re: Thread title - it's *you're* - you're welcome 🙂
If it ws an Italian heritage car, Persol would be de rigeur.
The mrs has a 9 year old yaris.
I'd hate her to have inappropriate sunnies on, what shades for a japanese heritage car?
Heritage my arse...
