... (sorry about that, Caledonians and other northerners). What are we all doing today?

I'm cursing my timing bad luck not being able to get to the Super Sexy Swinley. I'll be getting on a train and then riding the Brompton down the Wye to Llandogo for a birthday party tonight and a pub lunch tomorrow.

Absolutely lush down here on the Kent coast. Very warm already, pool is filling up, beers are chilling and I'm off to the butchers in a minute for barby supplies. Long walk in the woods this afternoon then meeting friends on the beach for maybe the last swim and BBQ weekend of the year.

Out on the bike tomorrow morning then probably more of the same, I fully intend to be lying on the sofa tomorrow night with a sunburn, tired legs and a full belly.

Have a great one whatever you're doing. The wheel is turning, make the most of the next few days.

Don't worry, you'll get them soon enough... and in other news, a local garden centre has opened it's chr*stm*s shop today.

Kicking back in Doncaster, fire up the barbie one more time. Texting my brother who moved to the Bahamas last week. Only 26C over there, what a fool he feels now.

That's almost a week of 20ºC+, I think it's time to bite the bullet and invest in some air con. Any recommendations? Would it be worth getting a swimming pool put in too?

We're supposed to be going on a picnic, but I'm just up and seriously hung over, Sara's not even stirred yet.

I think we may just be sunbathing in the garden, and drinking lots of water.

Toast is required.
