It can do what it likes, we're ready, as we have 8pints of milk, 1 seeded batch loaf and 21 white cobs.
Who needs snow shovels and de-icer with that lot?

What a ****ing disappointment, hardly any snow at home and even less at work, hope those muppets that went panic buying yesterday are happy! Why do we trust weather reports when they say snow then dismiss them for the rest of the year????

Help me stw. Later today I am supposed to be taking my kids from Guildford to reading to my folks house, then tomorrow the wife and I are going to a very nice hotel near Coventry for her company's annual get together, where a nice meal, few drinks and maybe some after hours no-holds barred no kids to wake activity.

I know there will be snow on the roads. The question is - is this an 'essential' journey, given we've been looking forward to it all year?

Well the gritters have done an excellent job this year of clearing the roads. All roads apart from my own minor road were very clear this morning and grippy.
The worst problem I had was visibility. My visor kept collecting snow, so was constantly wiping it, plus kept misting up which didnt help ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Worthing - No Snow

Angmering a couple of miles to the west has three flakes, a cut down emergency train timetable and the 7:07 was still 12 minutes late. Another three flakes and we are doomed.

South Wales is shut. Even my office hasn't opened which is virtually unheard of! Must be the end of the world we've been waiting for......

Proper snowing in Chester. Windy too.
Two of the kids are supposed to be singing in a concert in Manchester tonight..... don't think so now. I feel bad for the organisers.
This is the view from my [home] office window right now:

That ^^^ doesn't look too deep. Are the roads clear?

so far there's only about 5mm on the higher bits of North Manchester. The roads were all clear on the bike commute this morning.

News Reporters will probably be stood outside Media City announcing the end of the world on the lunchtime news though.

It might get worse later, but if it stays as it is your kids may be able to attend their concert.

Plenty here in Malvern - the roof of my car is now covered up to the top of the roof rails - and still coming down hard. Should be enough to ski shortly I reckon.

Its actually doing quite well in the New Forest - well enough to get ma a WFH day! Needless to say this will almost certainly involve a quick pedal a bit later ๐Ÿ™‚

More worryingly than that slight dusting of snow and seemingly very clear roads is that

ALIENS APPEAR TO BE INVADING IN FLYING SAUCERS!

South Wales valleys reporting in. At least 6 inches lying in the back garden, and still snowing heavily. I haven't ventured out the front to check the roads, and that's the way it's staying. Report over.

I didn't say it was deep, just snowing hard (which had only just got going). It's getting deeper!
