[Closed] Slinky - I assume repair is difficult

Got back yetserday after being snowed in up north a bit longer than I hoped.

Brought back a Slinky for my daughter as a wee present.
She opened the box at the foot of the stairs, and I said 'be careful with it' as she stood to climb to the top.
The first step she took pressed on the damn thing as it stretched from her hand, and warped its precision coils. Not too badly, but badly enough to make it unfit for purpose.
I tried bending it back by hand, but I reckon it has had it.
How fustrating.

Once deformed they are never quite the same ever again
