hi all, anybody using an ipad to read the pdf version of the mag? how is it?

Using an IPod Touch and it works really well. Have to do a fair amount of 'two fingering' to zoom in and out but totally useable. Imagine an iPad would remove the need to zoom so would be much better.

No you still need to zoom on the iPad. I am a bit disappointed with the mag PDFs on the iPad to be honest.

Haven't tried the iPad, but the PDFs aren't readable on my 1920x1080 laptop screen without zooming, and the iPad is lower resolution than that. I think its because it's a straight copy of the mag, which uses smallish fonts. Custom written PDF files such as the Craft and Vision photo ebooks have been reformatted for the iPad and are much bbetter to read electronically. I've discounted getting an electronic subscription because of this.

cheers guys, what i imagined then 🙂 just plumped for a 1st gen 16gb model and was hoping to have an excuse for it, ah well! 🙂

Personally, I prefer my mags in print... so I can read them on the bog 😉
The only time I am truly left alone 😆

I prefer using the ipad and pdfs to paper. Having the entire back-catalogue on the ipad is pretty-damn-cool.
