If a similar ride tries to set off shortly after the original one, will a mod stop them and tell them to go home, or catch up to the original one?

As long as there is no talk about religion and/or history.
It would get as far as the top of the first climb where during the wait for the slower riders a big argument would break out.
Perhaps we could force the issue by planning a route around significant religious sites.

It'll end in tears and a vow of silence....maybe a missing member or three
You chaps will head out all bright eyed and bushy tailed then 30 mins into the ride when all the food is gone it will go all "The Hills Have Eyes' with the members with the most meat on them getting gobbled.
After you chaps wake from your feast and find the night has set in and you have no lights it will start off as using your body heat to keep warm but then quickly turn into 'Deliverance/Lord of the flies' when someone discovers a antique Mars Bar covered in god knows what in the bottom of their bag.
Maybe this has already happened?

Bit of a business opportunity I think for certain individuals Binners, Drac, Ninfan all spring to mind? I mean who wouldn't pay good money for a days riding and "socio-political" discussion, I think it's a winner.
You might end up with people stabbing each other with screwdriver then the incident being reported in the headline news.
Headline news "Old people stabbings at bicycle gathering". 😆
