Would the snow in Leeds stop someone driving to Skipton this AM?

No. unless some idiot stacks it and closes the road!

It's slush on the minor roads in Skipton. Main roads are clear.

Decent bit of snow around Darlington this morning. A bit of a dusting on the Cleveland hills but nothing lower down.

Another Harrogateist here – loads around our house (at the top of the hill in Pannal Ash) but a little less in town.

It was great taking our little dog out for her first experience of snow this morning 🙂

Snowing on the A30 around Okehampton this morning, and quite a dusting on the high ground all around, no photos, the hedges are too high to get a clear shot from the car at 70mph.

Not snow - just a very hard frost.

But I was rather pleased with this photo of miniature Xmas trees on the car this morning

who's on it tomorrow? For where I live it was forecast heavy snow but has now been downgraded to light snow/rain instead which is much more preferable.

Forecast keeps changing, still debating leaving the car on the main road or risking parking on the drive.

Some slush, maybe sleet, if it really kicks off fer darn Sarf.

I predict transport system meltdown, "Snowmageddon" headlines, & numerous Chelsea tractors in ditches.

Also the Scandies & Alpine countries will:

A. Laugh at our ineptitude to deal with some hail.
B. Ask quietly if they could have some as it's all looking "a bit brown" on the slopes currently - ta very much!

It'll be rubbish in the south, wet n pissy all day with a brief flurry around evening rush hour to really screw it up.

Yes I predict exactly the wrong amount of snow. That is enough to double the time it takes to get to work but not enough to make it impossible to get to work.

As my mother used to say 2 inches is no good to anyone, no one is satisfied by less than a good 6 inches.

Side roads with a covering in Milngavie. Snowing heavily right now. Local main roads were distinctly ungritted coming home from work at 4am Always good getting home before the snow. Numerous crashes across the country in the morning rush hour according to Radio Scotland.

The evening commute along the a77 cycle path really will be fun, cycling in fresh snow is great. Hope you've packed the snow socks Iain 🙂
