I noted a little patch or two on The Ben this weekend.

It transpires the little patches are more than 'little'.

Winter is definitely on its way. -3C in Carrbridge(just up the road) overnight and I had to scrape the car windscreen this morning.

Bad luck for anyone living in Haslemere.

I had to scrape my windscreen yesterday morning a well. and I'm not in the heart of the Cairngorms, I'm less than 20 miles from the coast(/Aberdeen)..

Someone must have some.

I was up Cairngorm and Macdui two days ago. No snow, just lots of mist and wind chill below freezing....

I had to defrost my freezer a few weeks ago.

Windy Wilson seems to have joined the snow-Mongerers with a gentle suggestion of snow in a fortnight or so...

Predicting snow in November? Even I could come up with that one.

theweatheroutlook suggests that there might be a blocking pattern in a few weeks that might make it a bit chilly. But like a sensible forecaster he says it's too early to be talking about snowmageddon.

I didn't see any (I can normally see them from the bedroom window). I did see someone on skis though.

A friend on Facebook headed up to the top and back down for a days work at Glenmore - on ski's at dawn today.
