I think we've got 26 v 29 covered this week, time to move on to more important matters.
So, carrying a basket round the supermarket;
Palm back, like holding a bicycle handlebar, is right.
Palm forward, as if doing bicep curls, is just wrong.

basket? can you push a basket fast and jump on the back? no. so why bother? trolleys rule.
