As a sort of interweb social experiment thing?

Why don't we all agree whole-heartedly with his opinions. All day. Every post he makes. No-one argue with him or point out how wrong he is. Why not compliment him on his wit and wisdom

I reckon he'll have gone insane by lunchtime! He'll be sat in a corner rocking, while shouting at himself 🙂

I'm currently doing this anyway if you look at many of my comments on TJ over the past months I have been agreeing with him. Although sometimes I have to lay into Nursey, when he forgets about the milk and the bum wiping and starts being an armchair engineer.

Edit - just agreed with him on the pavement riding forum.

It is Scotland's national day after all, so maybe it could become a yearly event.

Why are you such a plonker binners? I merely asked you to provide some evidence for your assertions. I didn't even disagree with you.

However as you were unable to provide any evidence you have to behave in a childish manner to attempt to justify yourself..

Guess who looks stupid now? You do realise I have been laughing AT YOU

TJ, you really don't help yourself you know, you do sound very pompous and legalistic all the time, picking out tiny statements and making a big deal out of them instead of "getting" what the person is talking about.

EDIT You do realise this is an internet forum which people use for fun, not a law court? Lighten up for crying out loud!!

I'm going to have to disagree with TJ. I've always thought starting a second thread containing a subtle persoanl attack is the epitomy of emotional maturity.

This thread is evidence of a man at the pinacle of his interent forum career.

Chapeau Binners, if you're ever down south pop round mine for armangac and manly hugs.

I think by agreeing to agree with TJ, we would be quite disagreeable to him. So I am going to disagree with him where possible to ensure his happiness and safety. After all, what would we do without him?

Yeti. That's the best offer I've had all week. As I'm always telling my daughter: you can never have too many hugs 🙂

DezB _ I've got all my Bikability badges on my courier bag. Apart from the mythical black 'instructors' badge. I'm not actually an instructor however. I'm too much of a plonker for that. So I fear arrest if i wore it publicly

Well, you try and be nice and he gets the hump. What can you do eh?

Binners isn't being 'nice'. Binners is taking the P. Binners is out of order.

Having a pop at someone on a tread during the course of an argument is one thing. Starting a whole new thread to make a sarcastic dig at someone is petty and mean.

I think folk should show TJ a lot more respect than they do. I think he's a decent bloke who cares about others, but some folk on here are simply narrow-minded Little Englanders who don't gve a fig about anyone but themselves.

This thread is in fact a TJ Win.

Binners you plonker....

i do actually agree with TJ in pretty much 99.9% of what he says (apart from one comment about stopping distance down a hill which he said he'd go away and prove, but forgot i'm guessing). i've (as has Yeti etc) made that clear to him on other threads when people have started being nasty.

in the same way i call Old Man B'Mitch old, elfinsafety - elfin, uncle TJ is a term of affection 🙂

people i dont like i ignore.

elfin you are correct, it is a TJ win in many ways... i hope he's not too sleepy to realise

Elf, this just goes to show how posts can have different effects on different people. I personally can't stand TJ as he appears on this forum. I'll admit people will be different in real life (Hora is actually a great guy who I've met) but if you only have their forum posts then you can't assume they are any different.

No it's not, Peter. TJ doesn't resort to pettiness like this. He gets his point of view across without resorting to such personal attack.

I think Binners should go away and have a good think about what he's done, then when he's done that, he should come back and apologise to TJ for being mean and nasty. TJ also has the right to give Binners a Chinese Burn.

FWIW TJ and I wind each other right up on here, I CBA deciding if I'm for or against him on this point, but he seems to be the most prolific arguer on here.

I guess my point is that it's ONLY A STORM IN THE INTERNET TEA-CUP AND PEOPLE ESPECIALLY TJ SHOULD TAKE THIS KIND OF THING ALOT LESS SERIOUSLY.

What binners said on that other thread was a reasonable point that almost everyone would agree with - see helmets for example
I usually agree with TJ but when I dont I can see why his style really annoys/grates other people. It is not a court and he does often miss the big picture to focus in on one single point ad naseum.
He does get some bullying on here which is never acceptable but this is just humour trather than bullying. He is rarely abusive despite great provocation

Indeed Charlie but TJ's style/persistance/inability to walk away/history means that (rightly or wrongly) in the big bad internet-world he's inevitably going to get abuse & piss-taking.

But he can't take a joke either..... He's a good guy IMO, but he needs to just leave it, sometimes. I see loads of stuff i don't agree with, or dislike, and just don't even bother replying 🙂

Binners isn't being 'nice'. Binners is taking the P.

Correct. He's taking the piss out of someone who takes himself far to seriously; and more often than he'll ever admit, talks a load of bull on subjects he tries to make out that he is the expert on, and then becomes overly offensive when trying to defend his ever eroding position.

Worse is Elfinfredbra actually, he'll become agressive about some minor point to try to divert the issue when he often finds himself in the same position.

I guess some people come here for intelligent discussion and don't particularly want to join in the playground banter and commons style jeering..

and others come here to clown around and have a giggle and some jeer and take the mickey out of the first lot..

and others come to marvel or despair at the second lot.. while others still just come here to think wow.. evolution is great

+1 TJ win here, but big deal! Take a look around you. Our economy is held together by cotton wool and promises and people are actually having to live in North America for pity's sake! 😯 get some perspective. Without argument, there can be no opinion, without opinion we cannot change established stupidity. Long live petty, stupid quarrels. Answer me this: would a forum exist without opinions?
