I have a bike up at the minute, just had an offer on it from someone who just joined eBay and so has no ratings. They want to come and view it, which will mean giving my address out. Slightly wary of doing that due to the lack of history.

Main concern is obviously they are not legit and pop around in the future to take a look through the garage!

Meet locally (supermarket carpark etc) and make sure your not followed home. Many genuine buyers who are new to Ebay and plenty who buy tat just to get their feedback up a bit.

Arrange to meet elsewhere, somewhere public, and with a mate in tow.
They can ride the bike if you can hold their car keys (or wallet).

I'd ask directly why they have no feedback or only just joined ebay. If it sounds fishy bin them off. If it doesn't, probably bin them off anyway but if not meet in a supermarket car park or somewhere else very public

To add to my previous point.
I know someone who had similar (not zero feedback, but low) and he wanted to buy a bike.
He arranged to meet the seller at a trail centre, he test rode the bike (I think he left his cc + driving license with the owner) and then bought it for cash there and then.

Find out a bit more info. I recently sold my old full susser on eBay with no feedback. I hadn’t been on eBay for so long my account was deactivates and the user name was with someone else now. Plenty of genuine buyers/sellers with no feedback but get some more info to make your own assessment. And aye, don’t be giving your address just for a look.

I’m looking at buying a second hand bike on eBay at the moment, I’ve never bought anything on it before so I’d also have no feedback. There will be other genuine buyers like myself who haven’t previously used that way of buying.
