Popped in to Decathlon on the way back from kent last weekend and saw that Decathlon do a carbon shafted touring paddle for around 50 quid.
Has anyone used one for touring and got an opinion about it in terms of usability, ruggedness and capability?

Hmmm, sounds interesting. I might have to look out for those next time I'm around Surrey Docks (probably Christmas).
I've been meaning to whittle a greenland paddle out of cedar all summer so I can fit in with my other kayak club members but it'll probably never happen.
