I just happen to be free for 3hrs tomorrow morning in Kensington - so what do I do?
I haven't been to either of these museums for 30yrs or so - which is the best for an uninformed gawp at exhibits?
Science is more interactive.
they're both a treat though.
Ooh, well you could have a scoot round both, but I prefer the Nat Hist, as it's got sections that are really quiet and peaceful, like the geology/rocks room, and the Science can be full of loads of kids which can be a bit annoying but they're just excited bless 'em.
Or you could stick two fingers up to both of them, and visit the V+A instead.
Have they got any bits of space ship in the Science Museum?
Both are fascinating...tough choice. I think the Natural History museum maybe more impressive, especially the opening hall. The Science museum I find you have to do more reading to be fully engaged.
However you are on to a winner with both.
Science can be full of loads of kids
Shouldn't be too bad this week, other than school trips.
My wife took our son last week (half term) - it was carnage apparently, kids, toddlers, pushchairs all over the place.
The Science museum until 1/2 hour from closing then quickly pop in to Nat Hist to look at the blue whale and the giant squid, then off to the pub.
I was at the history museum the day before the riots and it was like being in a big que I couldn't escape! Go to the V and A instead.
I went to the Natural History Museum the other week as my nephew wanted to see the dinosaurs. V&A is my favourite museum.
the medical room right at the top of the science museum is great and usually quiet.
V&A, although of those two I'd go to the Science Museum. But then I'm a geek.
I used to enjoy the V+A as there were always lots of interesting attractive young ladies what were studying fashion or something, in there doing sketches and stuff. 🙂
Now they just threaten to call security. 🙁
