Been tasked , by my dad , with getting his missis a tablet for Christmas . I have a Nexus 7 , which I love , but I'm concerned she may find it a bit small for web browsing and spotted that the Galaxy tab has got £50 cashback at the moment. This brings it under the £200 budget I've been given but I have no experience of using one and wondered if anyone on here can recommend them , or not .
Its main use will be browsing and viewing photos , no gaming .
Cheers
Using one now, wife's got one as well. Haven't any experience of other tabs but have been pleased with it. Great for web, email and iPlayer. If I want to do more I'll fire up the laptop or Xbox.
I sent mine back to Amazon, I found it a dog. Incredibly laggy when doing anything at all; typing and browsing were both miserable and infuriating. And I found Samsung's UI tweaks were a backward step over the vanilla Android UI. Nowhere near as good as a Nexus or an iPad, both of which are great.
Also using one here. Love it, does everything I need it to do and nice interface and responsive screen (unlike the horrible acer iconica I had previously!)
More than capable bit of kit for browsing and viewing photos.
I didn't say that. seems the item is question will remember logins when you don't want it to!
Redwoods, sort your tablet out dearest.
My daughter has one and loves it. Seems nippy enough. She also has a Samsung Galaxy phone so the UI doesn't seem to bother her. On the occasions I've used it, the UI hasn't got in my way either (I use an HTC phone)
Cheers for the replies , sounds like it should be just the job .
