I'm after a pair of Salomon speedcross 3 gtx's in black. They've been out of stock for ages on their website and I can't find any on the internet in a size 10 or 10.5 (UK)

There is an eBay seller with them in stock (based in Greece) but dubious about authenticity. Can anyone find me a pair please? If not, any idea if there is a new range coming out soon?

Cheers

having had gtx salmons i wouldnt bother with the gtx version. they wont keep your feet dry running through puddles, water just comes over the top and soaks shoes its marketing BS imo.
they will hold the water in if you intend on anything deeper.
they wont breath as well in summer either.

I'd have to agree with dobo, unless you're using them for a lightweight walking shoe where you can puddle hop.

As per your original question though, yes I think there are new ones coming out, Cotswolds have the new XA Pros up for order.

I find the GTX versions great for walking in the rain, through grass etc. I never have a problem with breathability either.

Get the CS versions - in the real world just as waterproof when running but don't suffer with the increased stiffness the GTX version have.

Speedcross 3s will wear out quickly on hard surfaces (like tarmac).

As per scotroutes, the 2 other pairs of GTX's I've had (not this model though) have been great

yes the speedcross arnt for hard surfaces and will wear fast, they are for trail running. the non gtx also split at the toe bend after about 500km running.
